Dallas Police Department Uses Challenge Coins to Dedicate Headquarters

Police challenge coins come in many different shapes and sizes.  The Dallas PD contacted us and asked if we could help design a coin for the dedication of their new headquarters.  They really wanted an accurate picture of their new building to be displayed on their dedication coins.  We suggested using a high resolution photograph to achieve the look that they were after.

The front of the challenge coin is very traditional in that it has raised gold areas and recessed color enamel areas.  The front will have depth to it whereas the back will be smooth because of the epoxy that we cover printed photographs with.  The bezel edge of this coin immediately adds detail and intrigue to this coin.

In addition to the bezel edge, this coin has both silver plating and gold plating which adds an elegant touch.  Police coins are often times used in dedications like this, or as a way to identify a sub group in the force, or even as a way to honor a fallen officer.  Memorial challenge coins are very popular these days.  They are great for honoring exceptional individuals and the role that they played in the police force.

Family members, colleagues, and even members of the community appreciate having something concrete that they can look at to remember their loved ones and the lives that he or she touched.  Longer lasting than a t-shirt or sticker, they can be presented at a ceremony in an acrylic coin case or velvet box.

Custom challenge coins come in a variety of sizes, shapes, styles and colors.  They can include different types of decorative edges, 3D emblems, sequential numbering, dual plating, and even bottle opener mechanisms.  This allows customers to make their custom coins every bit as unique as they are.

Whatever the reason is, we hope you will give us a call or email us to discuss how we may help you with your next challenge coin project.  Visit http://www.challengecoinsplus.com.  You can also email info@challengecoinsplus.com or call 1-800-252-0904 toll-free.
