Daystar Church wanted to give its first responders comprised of individuals, that are EMS, Firefighters, and Police Officers,  a gift to honor the upcoming 10th anniversary of 9/11.  The emblems that these professionals use are universally recognizable and make great designs for custom challenge coins.  Having a token such as a challenge coin on the tenth year anniversary of 9/11 is a thoughtful way to remember the men and women that protect and serve our communities daily

September 11, 2001 was a somber day for America.  Many of the first responders on call at the World Trade Center lost their lives.  Keeping the spirit of these brave men and women alive is exactly what Daystar Church was trying to accomplish.  They decided to include information about their church on one side of the coin and logos that represent first responders on the other side.  They also wanted to include some text honoring the specific group of recipients being recognized.

All members of the congregation that are first responders will receive this special coin during one of the church services.  The church chose to have the coins placed in black velvet coin presentation case which adds a classy touch to any type of ceremony.  Different options like acrylic coin cases and coin capsules make it easy to display challenge coins in a recipient’s home or office.

Since World War I, challenge coins have been used to honor exceptional service.  First responders are heroic people.  They put the community first above their needs.  They deserve recognition and Daystar Church was one of the first of many churches, groups, and organizations looking for a memorable way to honor them this September.
