VA Butler Healthcare partnered with the Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival to host a Welcome Home Celebration to thank returning service members and their family members for their service and sacrifice. The Welcome Home Celebration was held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Butler County Fairgrounds. VA Butler Healthcare staff was present to provide VA healthcare and benefit information, as well as information about special programs, enrollment, support services, and community resources. We created custom challenge coins for the business to use as a thank you gift to hand out to returning service members.
After the event, the challenge coin served as a reminder for the men and women who need to take advantage of the services that the VA healthcare system provides. Because the VA handles all branches of the military, the coin needed to reflect the 5 branches of the armed forces. A great way to do this is by including each of the branches seals on the coin for all to see.
Another identifying feature of the coin is the VA Butler Healthcare that arches across the top of the back of the coin. With many different VA Hospitals out there, no one will mistake where this coin came from. The event name and logo for this year are clearly included in the center of the back of the coin. Patriotic red, white, and blue are the predominant colors that stand out on this coin which adds to the design appeal.
Paying special attention to details like size, color, and shape help bring attention to your custom challenge coins and increase their perceived value. The people that receive the coins from you will be impressed by the amount of time and detail you put into designing and creating them. This makes them become an extra special gift in the eyes of the recipient.
