The Difference Between High Polish and Matte Finishes as it Relates to Lapel Pins
Posted by Lapel Pins Plus | Thursday September 6th, 2012 | Topic: Lapel Pins
At Lapel Pins Plus, we have many different plating options to choose from. Today, we wanted to focus on high polished vs. matte finish. The image you see here shows both finishes. The puzzle pieces are created in our high polished silver finish and the “Albuquerque” our matte silver finish.
We most commonly use matte silver when a pin has an antique finish on the recessed areas. The antique process takes the high polish and brings it down to a matte finish. Our high polished silver finish almost has a mirror-like quality because you can see things reflecting off of the pins. This is one way to grab people’s attention.
Both finishes are extremely durable. You can easily change the feel of a pin just by changing the finish. We can even do part of the order in a matte finish and the other part in a high polish. This allows you to appease all the different personalities in your school or workplace. You can hand out the different pins as you see fit.
Don’t forget presentation options. We offer a number of different options to fit your needs and event. Choose the bag or box that’s right for you. We can help you make your decision. Just let us know when you inquire about pins what you had in mind for presenting them.
