Embroiders Guilds Choosing to Go with Charm Style Lapel Pins

Embroidery has found a second life in today’s society.  Thanks to women like Jenny Hart of Sublime Stitching, embroidering has become hip once again.  Embroider’s guilds give women a place to meet with friends, work on their needlecrafts, and showcase their finished projects.

One Embroiders Guild of America chapter recently contacted us with a special request.  They wanted us to turn their typical lapel pin design into a charm.  We were able to easily do this for the guild by not putting a standard post with butterfly clutch on the back of the pins.  We design the lapel pin the same way, whether it is soft enamel, cloisonné, die struck or offset printed and then we add a small loop at the top.  The loop at the top is where you thread your necklace or bracelet through.

Each year this guild will create a new charm for its members so that they can add to their club bracelet or necklace.  We can provide the charm and the necklace or just the charm.  Charms can be made for clubs that take special trips to conferences so that all can remember the fun times that were had.

Some embroiders guilds hold competitions to see whose design will be the winning design that will be turned into that years pin.  Each member gets to vote on their favorite design and the winning design get emailed to us to transform into a pin.

Consider creating a “new member” pin so that you can give a personalized gift to members of your guild.  We offer a lot of choices when it comes to customization.  You can select a unique size or shape for your charm or even have glitter and simulated gemstones added to it.  Your embroider’s guild charms will be as unique as you and the other members in your group.
