Custom 3D Lapel Pin is Made to Look Like a Padlock

Here at Lapel Pins Plus, we like it when customers think outside of the box and come up with unique ways to use lapel pins.  A recent customer of ours challenged us to create a pin that looked like a padlock.  They were wanted to use the lapel pins to promote a new service they were offering.

The pin you see here is completely 3 dimensional looking.  Although it lays flat on a surface, the top side is rounded extrudes up and out of the pin base.  Our 3d molds add life to any pin and this padlock could not have been done without the use of this technique.

Another technique that was used on this pin was silkscreen.  We silkscreened all of the white, black and red areas to add a sharp, crisp look to the text.  Text is a very important feature of custom lapel pin design.

One last design note regarding this unique lapel pin is the cut-out section in the interior of the pin.  Had we left this area solid metal, it would not have come off nearly as well as it does with the entire center section cut away.  No matter what the challenge may be, we’re clearly up for it.
