There are many things that we show appreciation for in the month of May. The warm sunshine that replaces April showers, the blooming flowers and the increase in outdoor activities are some of the many things that make May a favored month among many people. Another much anticipated happening of the coming month is National Teacher Appreciation Day, which falls on May 3rd. Great Teachers Inspire Great Leaders The National Education Association (NEA) launched its Teacher Thank You Project in 2009 at the directions of NEA President Dennis Van Roekel and the U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The project is a collection of heartfelt and artfully crafted cards displayed on a mural measuring 8 feet tall by 75 feet wide. As a result of this appreciation movement, PTA and PTO organizations from all over the country have been contacting Lapel Pins Plus to design this year’s custom recognition lapel pins. Showing Appreciation Without Saying a Word For the tireless work they put into positively influencing and shaping our future leaders, a small token of thanks, like the thank you lapel pin shown here, will ensure that teachers know how much they are valued. Some schools have ceremonies where the pins are handed to each teacher. Placing the pins in one of our acrylic cases is a great way to present the deserving teachers these special personalized gifts. Other schools have chosen to attach the lapel pins to beautifully designed card stock and travel from room to room to pass the pins out. An added benefit of having us create the card stock is that you get to completely customize this part of the gift just as you did with the teacher pins. Also, with the lapel pin attached to the card stock, it is wrapped in clear cellophane which adds a touch of classtoyour presentation. If you are not sure about your design, here are a couple options that have always brought customers’ design success. Images of apples, stacked books, alphabet blocks and school mascots, have been used in unique and fun ways to create teacher appreciation pins that educators will wear proudly. With the event date falling on the 3rd of May, there is still time to get your lapel pin design created, produced and delivered for the day. We embrace our customers’ visions and ideas to arrive at a lapel pin design that they, and their recipients, will love. Not to mention, Lapel Pin Plus’ ordering process is easy and fast.
