It is not every day that we get to explore our creative sides but when Hobart and William Smith’s College (HWS) needed a special customized lanyard for their school, we welcomed the opportunity.
Coloring Outside of the Lines
Established in 1822, Hobart and William Smith’s College is located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York. The 195 acre campus is home to over 2,000 undergraduate students. Casually known as the “Liberal Arts College”, HWS encourages students to broaden and deepen their personal interests by taking advantage of the institutions 40 majors and 60 minors.
Keeping in line with HWS’s philosophy of stepping off the beaten path, Custom Lanyards Plus helped the college create a lanyard that is just as unique as its educational approach.
More specifically, the college asked us to design a two color lanyard for its students. Not only did the custom lanyard need to include both of the school’s vibrant green and purple colors but also had to have a white imprint. We were able to custom dye the lanyard exactly the way HWS needed it to look. As a matter of fact, Hobart and William Smith’s College was not the only institution we used this customized coloring option for.
St. Lawrence University, another liberal arts college located in upstate New York, saw the dual colored lanyards we made for HWS and requested we do the something similar using their school colors. The end result was yet another multicolored custom lanyard as well as another satisfied customer.
