With every pin Lapel Pins Plus produces, customers are given a vast number of choices for their color fills.  Color fills are how we apply the colors to a custom pin once the lapel pin designs have been stamped out of metal and are ready for coloring. The type of paint we use depends on the style of pin our customers choose. The most common types of lapel pin orders we color fill are our soft enamel and cloisonné lapel pins. Cloisonné lapel pins are known for their high quality look and feel. Hard enamel paint is used for this style’s color fills. They are a favorite among customers who prefer a smooth, glossy jewel-like finish.  Once the pin has been baked in our production oven, the result is always a richly colored and lustrous pin. Soft enamel lapel pins use soft enamel paint as part of their design process.  Just like cloisonné pins, the color fills are applied before firing.  Their classic appearance and affordability are what have made them famous with organizations and groups for many years.  A clear epoxy finish can be applied to seal and protect the color fills if desired.
